Q. Who sees my information?
A. Only members in “Your Network” can view your information. The website is a secure community that requires users to authenticate themselves by providing information (e.g. personnel ID) that is pre-populated on the website by Rothstein Kass' human resources database to ensure that only members can register on the site. Please note that per the Privacy Policy, your information is also viewable by Network administrators with the strict understanding that your information is only to be used to contact you should you indicate that preference in your profile.
Q. I can't find someone on the site. Are they missing?
A. You may try searching in the “Member Directory” for the person under different parameters. For example, their formal name might be different from their nickname/preferred name. The person might not appear in the website's database because they have not activated their account yet or they have just left the firm and are undergoing the exit process. Please contact Relationship Network Support if you are having further difficulties locating a person in the Network.
Q. Why is some information missing from my friend's profile?
A. The Network operates on an opt-in basis for users. Users can choose not to fill out their profile or choose not to display all or certain parts of their profile.
Q. How do I contact someone via e-mail?
A. To protect the privacy of the Network's members, all e-mails are hidden until an invite has been accepted to be in each other’s “Network.” You may contact another individual user by going to the “Membership Directory” and clicking on Send Message under the person’s profile.
Q. How to find my friends who still work at the firm?
A. If you go to the “Member Directory”, you will be able to search by last name, first name or office. All current employees have been noted employee in their profile. If you are having difficulty locating a friend who used to work at the firm, please contact Relationship Network Support.
Q. How do I format my resume if you only allow plain-text?
A. The Network is set up to store plain-text resumes so that the content of your resume is searchable. To ensure that your resume is formatted as you would like it to appear, we recommend that you convert it to a plain-text document first and remove all tabs, bullets and other formats. We also recommend that you structure your plain-text resume with more lines rather that fewer so that your resume will be easier to read in plain-text.
Q. Are there any job posting guidelines?
A. There are no specific job posting guidelines, however, any job posting must be approved by the Network administrator before it can be posted. Also keep in mind the interests and career level of your fellow members when you post a job. If you are looking for referrals, please indicate that in your description. If you have additional questions on the job posting process or related content, please contact us.
Q. Why do I not see the content (news, events, jobs) that I have posted?
A. All submitted content is reviewed by the Network administrator. Once approved, the content is viewable to intended users. If you have not seen your submitted content within 48 hours, please contact us.
Q. I am having some trouble with the site’s messaging and networking functionality. What should I do?
A. The site’s networking functionality is not working properly for any user using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8. These users will not be able to add users to their network. If they are using Windows 7 they should use another browser Ex. Firefox or Safari. This issue is a Microsoft problem that we are looking into.
